Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) provides you with cognitive, core-level trauma knowledge and psychomotor skills experience in an interactive format. The TNCC course will provide a systematic standardized approach to injured patient care. The hands-on psychomotor skill stations help you incorporate cognitive knowledge into application of skills in a safe practice environment.

Subjects will include Systematic standardized approach utilizing the A-I mnemonic, Pediatric, pregnancy and elder trauma, Initial assessment and shock, Spinal immobilization, and Chest and abdominal trauma.

 TNCC is a 4-year certification

 TNCC Provider is a 14.42-hour course completed over 2 classroom days.

 14.42 CE’s Awarded upon Completion

 TNCC Re-Certification is a 8-hour course completed over 1 classroom day.

 8 CE’s Awarded Upon Completion

Intended Audience: TNCC may be officially attended by registered nurses (RN's). Other health care providers may attend the course as observers. In order to maximize success in the TNCC (Provider), it is recommended that the participant have at least six months of clinical nursing experience in an emergency care setting. It is assumed that the course participant possesses generic nursing knowledge, has an understanding of emergency care terminology, and has familiarity with standard emergency equipment.
